WELCOME Welcome to Steve Gould Photography. I am a San Diego photographer and photography teacher, and I specialize in landscape, nature, wildlife, and underwater photography from around the world. My images are available either as custom fine art prints or as stock photography. You can see many of my favorite images on the Galleries pages. There are galleries for many of our Western states, as well as for other parts of the world where I have traveled; I have been to six of the seven continents, Australia being the one still to come. And, there are galleries for underwater images from many of the best diving areas of the world.
You'll find information on my background and photography on the About Steve page.

I have also published my Antarctica book, "To The End Of The Earth, A Journey to the Southern Ocean", available in three hard-copy versions, and my Iceland book, "A Journey Through Iceland". They are both available from Blurb.com. AND, I have created eBook versions of both books!
Just click on Check Out My Blurb Books below, and it will take you to the "Steve Gould Photography Bookstore" at Blurb. If you want to view any book, click on any of the book icon. If you would like to purchase a copy, click on the book icon with the type of cover you would be interested in. This takes you to the page where you can view/preview the book, and where you can place an order if you wish to. This is the page where you will see the eBook version, too.

HOME PAGE IMAGES
The images on the Home Page are the second set from my trip to Patagonia in January 2014. These are all from Torres Del Paine in Chile. The first six give different views of the amazing "cuenos" (horns) of these mountains, formed by eons of erosion eating away a basalt cap rock and the underlying granite from a magma intrusion that never made it to the surface. The layering of the colors and the dramatic, jagged shapes are like nothing else in the world. The last image in the set shows truly dramatic sky typical of what I enjoyed day after day.
We reached the glacial lake, Lago Torre (Image #5), at the foot of Cerro Torre, after a 7 mile hike (14 miles roundtrip!), and the wind was blowing off the glaciers like crazy. We saw more lenticular clouds during our days at El Chalten (Images #1, 2, 7) than all others combined; sitting above Lago Viedma for hours, we watched them form, rearrange, and form again and again.
These views of Torres Del Paine and its cuernos were captured during five days of memorable hiking in, fortunately, excellent weather. As with Argentine Patagonia: all so awesome, humbling, and inspiring.
