Welcome to Steve Gould Photography. I am a San Diego photographer, and I specialize in landscape, nature, wildlife, and underwater photography from around the world. My images are available either as custom fine art prints or as stock photography. You can see many of my favorite images on the Galleries pages. There are galleries for many of our Western states, as well as for other parts of the world where I have traveled; I have been to six of the seven continents, Australia being the one still to come. And, there are galleries for underwater images from many of the best diving areas of the world.
You'll find information on my background and photography on the About Steve page.
Twin Lights Publishers’ has published my book, “San Diego: A Photographic Portrait”, and it is available online at Amazon, and various Barnes & Noble locations in San Diego, as well as at Warwick’s, Bay Books, Upstart Crow Book, Hotel Del Coronado, Balboa Park, and other San Diego locations.

I have also published my Antarctica book, "To The End Of The Earth, A Journey to the Southern Ocean", available in three hard-copy versions, and my Iceland book, "A Journey Through Iceland". They are both available from Blurb.com. AND, I have created eBook versions of both books!

HOME PAGE IMAGES
The images on the Home Page are from my trip to Patagonia in January 2014. The first eight are on the Mt. Fitzroy/Cerro Torre region around El Chalten, Argentina, and the next six images are of the incredible Glacier Perito Moreno, near El Calafate, Argentina.
We reached the glacial lake, Lago Torre (Image #5), at the foot of Cerro Torre, after a 7 mile hike (14 miles roundtrip!), and the wind was blowing off the glaciers like crazy. We saw more lenticular clouds during our days at El Chalten (Images #1, 2, 7) than all others combined; sitting above Lago Viedma for hours, we watched them form, rearrange, and form again and again.
Glacier Perito Moreno is a modest bus-ride from El Calafate. Argentina has built "galleries" in front of the glacier for viewing. The rates of forward movement of the glacier and of the glacial calving have been essentially equal for at least hundreds of years, so the front of the glacier is always right in front of the viewing galleries. Standing there for hours, you are mesmerized by the crackling sounds of the glacial ice shifting, cracking, and calving. We were even able to take a tour that including putting on crampons and hiking on the glacier. All so awesome, humbling, and inspiring.
