Welcome to Steve Gould Photography. I am a San Diego photographer, and I specialize in landscape, nature, wildlife, and underwater photography from around the world. My images are available either as custom fine art prints or as stock photography. You can see many of my favorite images on the Galleries pages. There are galleries for many of our Western states, as well as for other parts of the world where I have traveled; I have been to six of the seven continents, Australia being the one still to come. And, there are galleries for underwater images from many of the best diving areas of the world.
You'll find information on my background and photography on the About Steve page.
Twin Lights Publishers’ has published my new book, “San Diego: A Photographic Portrait”, and it is now available online at Amazon, and various Barnes & Noble locations in San Diego, as well as at Warwick’s, Bay Books, Upstart Crow Book, Hotel Del Coronado, and other San Diego locations.
Here is the link to the book on Amazon:
I have also published my Antarctica book, "To The End Of The Earth, A Journey to the Southern Ocean", available in three hard-copy versions, and my Iceland book, "A Journey Through Iceland". They are both available from Blurb.com. AND, I have created eBook versions of both books!

HOME PAGE IMAGES
The first six images on the Home Page are from my second trip to the Southern Ocean, 2013-14, and the next six images are from my recent trip to Alaska in June 2015. These give a taste of my new solo exhibition, "Polar Opposites", in San Diego, December 2-14.
The second trip to Antarctica, South Georgia Island, and the Falkland Islands, was again with Cheesemans Ecology Safaris. While we went to many of the same places, those experiences were still different and new: the weather, the amount of snow and ice, the size of the colonies, and often the drama. We also got to some wonderful locations we had missed the first time - especially St. Andrews Bay, Gold Harbor, and Cooper Bay on South Georgia Island - and some new ones for Cheesemans. The latter included Cooper Island on S. Georgia Island, and Danco and Yalour Islands in Antarctica.
In June, I made my first trip to Alaska: a three-week adventure with Cheesemans Ecology Safaris. There were only seven of us, plus our leader, Hugh Rose (who had been Expedition Leader on our 2013-14 return to the Southern Ocean). We all met up at Prudhoe Bay, and traveled in Hugh's custom van for the next two weeks. We moved through the tundra, then the Brooks Range, overnighted in Fairbanks, and then went to Denali National Park, finally arriving in Anchorage. We gave up the van, and went on a small charter boat on Prince William Sound, returned to Anchorage, flew in small planes to Lake Clark National Park for the grizzly bears, and then flew back to Anchorage.
